Senate President Teresa Paiva Wood began her speech by asking the following question to the group of students who quickly became very engaged-

"What would you do with a million dollars? 

That’s a question you should be asking yourselves, because according to the U.S. Census Bureau, that’s what staying in school means in terms of lifelong earnings. Statistically, those who graduate with a high school diploma earn $1.2 million over the course of their lifetimes.…
